Running prime is not quite the same:
You don't have a reserve.
On my bike the mechanics replaced the following parts:
Petcock twice
Carb once and cleaned all the tubes in it many times
Tank cap
Exhaust (complete and under guarantee!!)
They also rebuilt the engine once.
Since I have the old-fashioned petcock I have no more stuttering.
